Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been accused of planning to murder a musician as well as threatening to kill an assistant.
The 55-year-old music mogul is currently on trial for sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution – charges he has pleaded not guilty to.
On Tuesday, Capricorn Clark, who worked as an assistant to the star from 2004 until 2012, took the stand in New York to testify in the ongoing case where she accused the rapper of threatening her.
She also alleges that the I’ll Be Missing You singer drove her to the home of Scott Mescudi, better known under his stage name Kid Cudi, where he declared they were going to kill the younger musician.
PEOPLE quotes Clark telling the court that Combs had been unaware that she had previously worked for his rival, Suge Knight, and became threatening when he found out.
She is quoted saying, “He told me that he didn’t know that I had anything to do with Suge Knight and that if anything happened he would have to kill me.”
She testified that he also pressed her for details on Mescudi’s relationship with singer Cassie Ventura, who both Combs and Mescudi had dated.
Variety quotes Clark describing an incident from December 2011 when Combs allegedly turned up at her house, where he was angered.
She told the court, “He was pacing… He was furious” – before adding that he then demanded to know who “Scott” was.
Clark testified that she told the musician, “I don’t know a Scott,” before Combs clarified he was referring to Kid Cudi.
Clark stated that she responded, “Oh, Cassie’s friend” – and claims Combs then ordered her, “Get dressed, we’re going to go kill (him)” and that, while she did not want to go with him, he had a gun on his person.
It is claimed Combs then ordered her into a car and they drove to Mescudi’s home along with one of the mogul’s security guards, but he was not there.
Clark then said she called Ventura once Combs and his guard were allegedly inside Mescudi’s home to tell her that Combs had arrived at the property with a gun.
Both Ventura and Mescudi have testified previously in Combs’s trial – which is ongoing.
