Mariah Carey has gone viral for her candid response to a question about Jeff Bezos’s recent wedding.
A number of celebrities, including Kim Kardashian and Orlando Bloom, attended the lavish three-day celebration for the Amazon founder and former journalist Lauren Sánchez in Venice, Italy last month.
Earlier this week, a clip showing a photographer running into Mariah while she was walking with her entourage in Malibu, California was posted to the Paparazzi Videos account on TikTok.
“What did you think about Jeff Bezos’s wedding?” the photographer questioned, to which the Believe hitmaker replied, “I wasn’t there.”
They then asked, “Were you not invited or what?”
Accordingly, Mariah responded sharply: “Oh, don’t turn this into that.”
The footage soon began to circulate on social media, with many fans comparing Mariah’s remark to the time she stated, “I don’t know her,” when asked about Jennifer Lopez back in 2003.
“She doesn’t know them,” one follower joked in the comments section, while another wrote, “I was waiting for her to say…… I don’t know them.”
A third exclaimed: “Haha she doesn’t care about Bezos wedding, she’s Mariah Carey!”
Representatives for Mariah have not yet commented further on the moment.
