Tom Cruise Says Taylor Swift ‘Schooled’ Him on Football

Tom Cruise joked that Taylor Swift “schooled” him on American football when the two recently attended an NFL game together.
The Top Gun: Maverick star sat next to Swift in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on Monday as the Kansas City Chiefs faced the Denver Broncos.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Cruise said Swift helped him catch up on the game after he had not attended a football match since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
“She was schooling me on football,” Cruise joked. “She was bringing the football.”
Cruise, 64, also praised Swift and her husband, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, calling them “a beautiful couple.”
He revealed that Swift once told him Kelce was very patient with her when she was learning about the NFL early in their relationship.
Cruise also praised Swift’s talents, describing her as funny, a brilliant songwriter and musician, and a skilled director.
During the interview, Cruise also promoted his upcoming film Digger, which opens in theaters Oct. 2. He joked that although there have been rumors about the movie being a musical, he would be open to making a version called Digger: The Musical.
