Raye Addresses Michael B. Jordan Dating Rumors: “We’re Just Friends Who Like Roller Coasters”

Raye has addressed speculation that she is dating actor Michael B. Jordan after the pair were recently spotted together at a California theme park.

The rumors began in August when the British singer and the Sinners actor were seen riding a roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Speaking on the red carpet at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, Raye was asked by Extra about reports that she and Jordan were working on a secret project.

“I’m technically not allowed to talk about it because I might get in trouble,” the 28-year-old singer said.

When asked directly about the dating rumors, Raye joked: “No, we’re just friends who like roller coasters.”

Raye performed “I Will Overcome” and “Where Is My Husband” during the VMAs and later joined Adam Lambert, Sombr and Teddy Swims for a tribute to George Michael.

The singer, whose real name is Rachel Keen, has also been celebrating the success of her second album, “This Music May Contain Hope,” which earned nearly 16 million Spotify streams within its first 24 hours in March.

Earlier this year, Raye also revealed that she plans to wait until she falls in love before writing her third album.

“My third album is going to be called And Then She Fell In Love, and I’m not going to write a single song of that album until I fall in love,” she said during a TikTok livestream.

Raye joked that the future album will be filled with songs celebrating love, saying she will write it once she finds that special feeling.
