Barbra Streisand praises Ariana Grande’s ‘amazing’ talent

Barbra Streisand has shared a heartfelt message praising Ariana Grande’s “beautiful voice”.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the Hollywood icon posted a photo of herself and the Wicked: For Good star posing together in a recording studio.

In the accompanying caption, Barbra gushed over Ariana’s talent and work ethic.

“Ariana is a young woman with an amazing talent. She has a beautiful voice like no one else, and so much more,” the 83-year-old wrote. “She can act, she can dance, she can be funny! She’s also sweet, kind and thoughtful. I’m very proud of you Ariana and thanks for singing with me on my album… Big hug, Barbra.”

And to conclude the tribute, Barbra congratulated Ariana on hosting the Saturday Night Live Christmas episode last weekend.

“P.S. you were wonderful on Saturday Night Live and looked so pretty,” she added.

A short time later, Ariana replied to Barbra in the comments section.

“Oh my goodness, thank you so much for this kindest surprise today! You made my day, my year, my life!” the 32-year-old exclaimed. “This means so much, coming from you. I just love you so. I miss you and I hope I get to hug you soon… all my love and appreciation. Thank you.”

Previously, Barbra invited Ariana to collaborate with her on the song One Heart, One Voice for her album, The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two, which dropped in June. The track also featured Mariah Carey.

And in 2019, the 7 Rings hitmaker joined Barbra onstage for a rendition of her 1979 hit, No More Tears (Enough Is Enough), at a concert in Chicago.
