Bruno Mars kicks off ‘The Romantic Tour’ with record-breaking Las Vegas launch

Written by on April 12, 2026

16x GRAMMY®-winning superstar Bruno Mars officially kicked off his highly anticipated global outing, The Romantic Tour, with a record-breaking, sold-out performance at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium. Marking his first full headline tour in nearly a decade, the opening night was a masterclass in showmanship, career-spanning hits, and massive surprises.

The evening centered on tracks from his new #1 Billboard album, The Romantic, opening with the trio of “Risk It All,” “Cha Cha Cha,” and “On My Soul.” Backed by an expanded 12-piece band, Mars delivered a stunning production featuring a lowrider cruising down a stage-side “Bruno Mars Drive.”

The biggest surprise of the night came mid-set when Anderson .Paak joined Mars for a five-song Silk Sonic reunion. Performing together for the first time since their 2022 residency, the duo electrified the crowd with hits like “Smokin’ Out the Window” and the chart-topping “Leave The Door Open.”

The city of Las Vegas pulled out all the stops to celebrate the launch. Officials officially declared April 10 “Bruno Mars Day,” following a high-energy parade down the Strip. In a rare tribute, Park Avenue was renamed Bruno Mars Drive, placing him alongside legends like Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra. Mars was also presented with the Key to the Strip by Governor Joe Lombardo, recognizing his decade-long impact on the city’s cultural legacy.

In a powerful philanthropic gesture during the ceremony, Mars announced a $1 million donation to the future Intermountain Health Nevada Children’s Hospital, supporting pediatric care across the state.

The Romantic Tour has already cemented its place as one of the year’s biggest cultural events, setting a Ticketmaster record with 2.1 million tickets sold in a single day. Due to overwhelming demand, the tour has expanded to nearly 80 dates, including a six-night run at London’s Wembley Stadium.

With support from Leon Thomas, and upcoming dates featuring Victoria Monét and RAYE, the tour follows the massive success of his fourth studio album, which became the biggest debut of his career.
