FKA Twigs reflects on working with North West on recent album Eusexua

Written by on December 14, 2025

FKA Twigs has reflected on collaborating with North West on her recent album Eusexua.

The British singer-songwriter has praised the eldest daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, who features on her third studio album.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Twigs revealed that Kanye, also known as Ye, helped facilitate the collaboration, which saw the 12-year-old rap in Japanese on the track Childlike Things.

“To be honest with you, Ye actually helped set it up through a friend, in the beginning,” she said. “And then Kim was very helpful and sweet and helped finish it all off.”

The Cellophane singer, real name Tahliah Barnett, went on to explain that North was well supported throughout the process.

“When we were on set, we were just cheering North on,” she stated. “In the video, it’s one of the first times I really saw her let go a tiny bit.”

Twigs also praised the youngster’s character.

“She’s so cool, and she’s so sweet, and she’s so grounded, as well,” the singer gushed. “She was very playful and sparkly, and I’d not seen that side of her. It’s something so incredible about that age, from like 10 to 15, to be encouraged to do something that you love no matter who you are.”

Reflecting on the collaboration, Twigs added that she was “grateful” to have worked with North, noting, “It’s also strange because I wrote that song when I was like 12, 13 as well.”

North is no stranger to musical features, having rapped on her father’s albums Vultures 1 and Vultures 2, and she has also performed live on several occasions.
