Florence + The Machine frontrunners for fifth Number 1 album with ‘Everybody Scream’

Florence + The Machine take an early lead in the race for this week’s Official Number 1 album.

Sixth studio album Everybody Scream could join 2009’s Lungs, 2011’s Ceremonials, 2015 LP How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful and 2022’s Dance Fever to net Florence + The Machine a fifth chart-topper.

We Are Love, The Charlatans’ fourteenth studio release, currently sits at Number 3. With their last chart-topping success coming courtesy of 1997’s Tellin’ Stories, can they repeat the same feat some 28 years later?

Ahead of their tour later this month, Radiohead hope to see Hail to the Thief – Live Recordings, the live version of their Number 1 2003 album Hail To the Thief, secure them a 12th Top 10 (5).

Currently enjoying a stint on The Celebrity Traitors, Cat Burns eyes a personal best, with second studio release How To Be Human expected to land at Number 6. Cat’s debut early twenties peaked at Number 7 in 2024.

The Rock Orchestra are set to chart for the very first time with Classics, Vol.1 (7), which contains covers of timeless tracks including Rage Against The Machine’s Killing In The Name and Led Zeppelin’s Stairway To Heaven.

Following the release of Mother, a new single celebrating CHROMOKOPIA’s first anniversary last week, Tyler, The Creator’s 2024 chart-topper looks to rebound back into the Top 10 once again (9).

Bob Dylan hopes Through The Open Window: The Bootleg Series Vol.18, which contains some of the iconic musician’s earliest live recordings, can earn him an incredible 57th Top 20 (13).

Liverpool-born singer-songwriter Luvcat, also known as Sophie Morgan Howarth, may earn her first Albums Chart appearance with Vicious Delicious (17).
KT Tunstall’s 2004 debut Eye To The Telescope could find itself back in the Top 20 following the release of its 20th anniversary edition, at Number 19 midweek. The album originally peaked at Number 3 2005.

Another album possibly making a return is Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s first Number 1 LP Welcome To The Pleasuredome, thanks to the release of a deluxe version (23).

English rock outfit Creeper are in line to gain a fifth Top 40 with the sequel to their last album Sanguivore, Sanguivore II: Mistress of Death (25).
London rapper Knucks looks towards a second Top 40 LP with A Fine African Man (29).

Blondie’s classic 1999 album No Exit, which marked the groups return after a 17-year hiatus, is expected to return to the Top 40 with the release of its Expanded & Remastered reissue (33).

And finally, the iconic Adam & The Ants could see The Singles compilation sneak into the Top 40 (39).
