Harry Styles wrapped up his New York City residency at Madison Square Garden with a special guest appearance from New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson.
The superstar singer-songwriter surprised fans by bringing Brunson on stage during the final night of his Together, Together residency on Saturday. The appearance marked the 30th show of Styles’ run at the iconic venue, where the Knicks have played their home games since 1968.
Brunson received a warm welcome from the audience, who greeted him with enthusiastic chants of “MVP.” The basketball star presented Styles with a commemorative banner to mark the occasion while sporting a hat bearing the words, “Techno is my boyfriend.”
Sharing a lighthearted moment, Styles joked about their height difference, saying, “Can you just make a note, we’re almost as tall as each other?”
“Yes, I will return your hat,” Brunson playfully replied.
This wasn’t Brunson’s first appearance at Styles’ residency. The Knicks star had previously attended two of the singer’s shows at Madison Square Garden and even received a special shoutout from Styles during the September 12 performance.
“We may or may not have the King of New York in the house tonight, Mr. Jalen Brunson,” Styles told the crowd. “He’s just trying to have a quiet night out. Not a chance. Not in this city. It’s like Mickey Mouse going to Disneyland.”
Brunson is set to return to the Madison Square Garden court on Monday, when the New York Knicks face off against the Brooklyn Nets.
