Kelsea Ballerini determined to ‘protect her peace’ amid Chase Stokes split rumours

Kelsea Ballerini is focused on “protecting her peace” amid rumours of her split with Chase Stokes.

The country singer has told her Instagram followers that she’s determined to keep her personal life private as people continue to speculate about the status of her relationship with the Outer Banks star.

During a Q&A with fans, one follower asked the 32-year-old how she was doing and if she needed anything, and Kelsea replied, “Thank you for saying this and asking. I’m in a steady and happy place right now, truly excited for this Australia tour and the holidays.”

She continued, “If I had one favor, it would be honoring that I’m trying to make my personal life personal for now. Unless it comes from me, its not from me. and that is really important in protecting my peace right now (sic).”

A representative for the musician confirmed she had split with Chase after two years of dating in September.

However, they sparked reconciliation rumours last month, when they were spotted holding hands in Edinburgh, Scotland and Dubrovnik, Croatia.

But soon after, Chase, 33, appeared to hint that they were over for good in a series of cryptic Instagram Stories posts on 20 November.

“Don’t believe the media. I’m blocked, I did nothing wrong,” he wrote, before adding: “Sorry (heart emoji) I tried.”

In a follow-up post, the Tell Me Your Secrets star was clearer, writing, “I’m sorry for those who believed in us… It is what it is… Onwards and upwards.”

The stars were first linked in January 2023. Kelsea confirmed their relationship a month later, revealing on the Call Her Daddy podcast that she had “slid into” his DMs.

The Half of My Hometown hitmaker was previously married to Australian country singer Morgan Evans between 2017 and 2022, while the Uglies actor dated his Outer Banks co-star Madelyn Cline in 2020 and 2021.
