National Album Day Announces Biggest-Ever Lineup for 2026

Written by on September 18, 2026

National Album Day will return on Saturday, October 17, 2026, with its biggest-ever collection of exclusive limited-edition releases and classic reissues.

This year’s celebration, themed “Icons,” will feature special releases from major artists including George Michael, Pink Floyd, The Who, New Order, The Pretenders, Suede, Pulp and Sade.

Presented with BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds, the event celebrates the album format with special vinyl pressings, anniversary editions and collectible releases aimed at both longtime fans and younger music lovers.

Among the highlights are George Michael’s Listen Without Prejudice, a 40th-anniversary edition of The Pretenders’ Get Close, and a 60th-anniversary red-vinyl edition of The Who’s My Generation. Other releases include Pink Floyd’s Meddle, New Order’s Brotherhood and a special Zoetrope vinyl edition of Suede’s Coming Up.

The lineup also includes anniversary editions of Bob Dylan’s Desire and Donna Summer’s Four Seasons of Love, along with special releases from Bryan Ferry, Goldie and Aretha Franklin.

For 2026, National Album Day has named Melanie C, PinkPantheress and composer Max Richter CBE as official Album Champions, with more artists expected to be announced.

Organized by the BPI and ERA, the event brings together record labels, independent record stores and major retailers to celebrate album culture across the UK.
