Robert Kraft Pledges $2 Million for Humanitarian Aid in Palestine

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has pledged $2 million in humanitarian aid for Palestinians after Ed Sheeran asked him to match the singer’s donation.
Sheeran recently removed rapper Macklemore from his Loop Tour after Macklemore made “Free Palestine” comments during performances in New Jersey. Sheeran said promoters and venue owners, including Kraft, had pressured his team to make the decision.
Kraft, who is Jewish, said he has spent decades supporting efforts that bring Palestinians and Israelis together. He also said he believes “all lives are worth protecting.”
Macklemore separately announced that he would donate the $1 million he earned from the tour to organizations providing aid to Palestinians, including the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, Heal Palestine, Gaza Soup Kitchen and Medical Aid for Palestinians.
Following Macklemore’s departure, the remaining supporting acts—Finneas, Aaron Rowe, Lukas Graham and Beoga—also announced they were leaving the tour in solidarity.
Neither Kraft nor Sheeran has announced which organizations will receive their $2 million donations.
