Megan Thee Stallion Opens Up About Voice Acting in New Anime Series
Written by WorldOneFm on October 9, 2026
Megan Thee Stallion is discovering that voice acting requires a different approach from recording music as she works on her upcoming anime series, Hotties.
The “Savage” rapper has teamed up with The Boondocks producer Carl Jones to create the original series, which will stream exclusively on Prime Video.
Megan announced the project on Instagram in February, praising Jones for his work and expressing excitement about bringing the anime to life.
In an interview with InStyle, the 31-year-old explained that performing as an animated character is very different from recording her own songs.
“When I go into the studio as Megan Thee Stallion, I already know how I want my voice to sound,” she explained. “But voice acting for a character is really different.”
She admitted that watching her first performance was an eye-opening experience, realizing she needed to make her delivery more expressive and adjust her tone to bring the character to life.
Despite the challenges, the three-time Grammy winner said she has been enjoying the experience.
Megan is also expanding her acting career, with roles in projects including The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, alongside Daniel Radcliffe, the 2026 comedy Roommates, and a stint in the Broadway production of Moulin Rouge!.
Hotties does not yet have an official release date.
