Carrie Underwood Explores Rock Music With Axl Rose

Carrie Underwood is reportedly working on new rock music with guidance from Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose.

The country superstar has performed with Guns N’ Roses several times, most recently joining the band for “Paradise City” during their Sept. 19 concert at Atlanta’s Truist Park.

After the show, Underwood thanked Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan on Instagram, writing that they were “always so kind” and that she loved them “forever.”

According to TMZ, Underwood has been working on music that is very different from her country sound, with Rose reportedly mentoring her as she explores rock.

Underwood has previously said she has a strong connection to rock and metal. “I never say never about anything,” she told Audacy, adding that she loves the energy and freedom of rock concerts.

Her relationship with Guns N’ Roses goes back to 2022, when she performed with Rose at Stagecoach and later joined the band at their London concert.

In 2024, she also collaborated with Papa Roach on the charity single “Leave A Light On (Talk Away The Dark).”
