Beyoncé’s mum Tina Knowles, who had designed Destiny’s Child stage outfits during the group’s heyday, commented, “You are so gorgeous”, on Rowland’s post.

A host of music and film stars attended the premiere, including Janelle Monáe, Lizzo, Chloe X Halle’s Chloe and Halle Bailey, Gabrielle Union, Lupita Nyong’o, Tyler Perry and Kris Jenner.

Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé will have another major screening in London on 30 November ahead of its official cinema opening on 1 December.
