Man charged with stalking after arrest near Taylor Swift’s home

Written by on January 23, 2024

A man has been charged with harassment and stalking after being caught by police outside of Taylor Swift’s New York City home.

David Crowe, 33, from Seattle, Washington, was arrested on Monday after police officers received complaints about an “emotionally disturbed male acting erratically” outside of the pop superstar’s Tribeca townhouse.

He has been charged with two counts of harassment and two counts of stalking.

“Officers were approached by multiple complainants who pointed out an emotionally disturbed male acting erratically at the location,” a spokesperson for the New York City Police Department told PA.

“Once officers observed the male harassing multiple complainants, they took him to custody without further incidents, no injuries were reported.”

The spokesperson did not confirm reports suggesting that Crowe is the same man who was arrested outside of the 34-year-old singer’s property on Saturday.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that cops found a man tampering with Taylor’s front door in an apparent attempt to break in.

At the time, they discovered an active warrant for his arrest for failing to appear in court in a separate case in 2017. He was handcuffed and taken into custody.

When Crowe was spotted lurking near the house two days later, the singer’s head of security immediately called the police. He was subsequently handcuffed and taken into custody, where he was charged.

It is not clear if Taylor was at home during either incident. She was in Buffalo, New York on Sunday to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce at an American football game.
