Miley Cyrus Scores Her First Billboard 200 No. 1 in More Than a Decade

Miley Cyrus is celebrating a major career milestone after her new album, “Bass Persuades,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
The singer’s 10th studio album topped the chart, surpassing Ella Langley’s “Dandelion” and Riley Green’s “That’s Just Me.” It marks Miley’s first album to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 since “Bangerz” in 2013.
Following the news, the “Flowers” hitmaker took to Instagram to celebrate the achievement and thank everyone who helped make the album possible.
“Bass Persuades being #1 transcends a win,” Miley wrote. “This process has been some of the best times for me. Everyone involved made it possible and, more importantly, fun and memorable.”
The 33-year-old singer also shared photos of herself holding a bouquet of roses arranged in the shape of the number one, a gift from music executives at Atlantic Records.
“Thank you Atlantic, my team, and everyone who walks beside me with conviction. I love you,” she wrote before turning her attention to her fans.
“To the fans, you make my world go round. Making music for you brings immeasurable joy to my life. Forever.”
Released on September 18, “Bass Persuades” features the title track along with the single “Let’s Get Married.”
Reflecting on the album, Miley said she was inspired by the emotional power of music and the different ways people experience it.
“Music takes hold of us. We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on,” she previously wrote. “It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong.”
She added that the album’s title represents “heart full, heartache, every part of life in between.”
