The Rolling Stones Release New Song ‘Who You Callin’ Crazy’ Featuring Jazz Saxophonist Courtney Pine

The Rolling Stones have unveiled a new track, ‘Who You Callin’ Crazy’, featuring acclaimed jazz saxophonist Courtney Pine. The song will appear on Foreign Tongues Loose Lips, the deluxe edition of the band’s latest album, Foreign Tongues, scheduled for release on November 27.
Frontman Sir Mick Jagger delivers the song’s lyrics with his characteristic attitude, describing a person struggling with nervousness, suspicion and discomfort before challenging their critic in the chorus: “Who you callin’ crazy? I wanna know who you callin’ crazy, and what about you? You call yourself a lady.”
The new release follows ‘Bad Luck Hideaway’, which features the late Charlie Watts on drums. The deluxe edition will include five additional tracks: ‘Who You Callin’ Crazy’, ‘Bad Luck Hideaway’, ‘Where There’s A Will’, ‘Human Tide’ and ‘She Still Comes Around’. Fans will be able to purchase the collection as a standalone vinyl release or a deluxe two-CD edition.
Released in July, Foreign Tongues proved to be a major success, reaching number one on the charts in 14 countries.
Courtney Pine Reunites With Mick Jagger
Pine’s contribution marks another collaboration with Jagger, having previously played on the singer’s 1993 solo album, Wandering Spirit. The saxophonist recently revealed that he had returned to the studio with the Rolling Stones frontman during an appearance on BBC Radio 3’s Private Passions.
“I’ve just done another session a couple of weeks ago with him [Jagger] for The Rolling Stones,” Pine said.
Describing Jagger as an extraordinary musician, he added: “Mick’s an amazing artist. That whole pop world is completely different to anything that I know.”
Pine also recalled an earlier experience working on Jagger’s solo material, explaining that an initial version of the album was discarded before he was invited to record again in Los Angeles.
When asked whether he would travel to record another version, Pine remembered his enthusiastic response: “Mick Jagger? Of course!”
Mick Jagger Is Already Writing More Songs
The new track arrives as Jagger continues to work on fresh material. In June, the singer told NME that he had already begun writing songs that could potentially feature on another Rolling Stones album or be offered to other artists.
Asked whether another album could follow Foreign Tongues, Jagger replied: “Yeah, it could be a trio [of records]… I’ve already started writing songs anyway.”
However, he explained that not every composition necessarily suits the band, noting that some songs might be better suited to other performers.
“I’m very open-minded to it. I’ve got a lot of stuff, and not all of it’s suitable for The Rolling Stones,” he said. “It shouldn’t stop me writing them, you know. If you get an idea, just write it.”
His comments suggest that the veteran musician remains creatively active, even as the future of the band’s recording and touring schedule remains uncertain.
Touring Plans Remain Unclear
While new music appears to be on the horizon, a return to the stage is less certain. Guitarist Ronnie Wood recently indicated that he and Jagger are eager to perform live again, but Keith Richards is reportedly less enthusiastic about another tour.
Speaking to NME, Wood explained that the band would need all its members to share the same desire to return to the road.
“I know Mick is busting to go, and Keith is not busting to go. And you’ve got to have everybody’s enthusiasm to do it,” he said.
Wood added that he would be ready to rejoin the group whenever the decision was made, although no tour plans have been confirmed.
“When my compadres say, ‘Let’s go’, I’ll be ready. I’ve got no plans yet though,” he explained.
For now, fans can look forward to the expanded edition of Foreign Tongues, which offers another glimpse into the Rolling Stones’ continuing musical output. With Jagger writing new material and collaborations such as ‘Who You Callin’ Crazy’ emerging from the studio, the band’s creative momentum remains strong, even as questions persist about when they might perform live again.
