Pink Says She Feels ‘Lonely’ as She Defends Her Views on Israel and Palestine

Pink says she has been feeling “lonely” after facing criticism over her response to singer Macklemore’s public support for Palestine.

Macklemore recently opened an Ed Sheeran concert in New Jersey by telling the crowd “Free Palestine” and saying he wanted to show support for Palestinians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

Pink initially shared a post criticizing Macklemore’s comments but later addressed the controversy directly on Instagram, explaining that the original post did not fully represent her own views.

The singer said she was born Jewish and has never hidden her identity. She stressed that she does not speak for Israel or any government, while maintaining that Hamas is a terrorist organization and that Palestinians deserve a future that respects their humanity.

Pink also said she believes innocent lives must be protected regardless of nationality or religion. She pointed to her work as a UNICEF ambassador and said she has personally met and supported children affected by conflict.

Acknowledging that her comments have brought further criticism, Pink said she is prepared to stand up for her beliefs even if doing so makes her feel isolated.

She also called for people to disagree without targeting Jewish, Muslim, Palestinian or Israeli communities, saying that anyone who wants to understand her views should simply ask her.

Pink ended her message by reflecting on her family and Jewish traditions, saying she planned to spend the evening with her children, light candles and celebrate Rosh Hashanah.
