Ed Sheeran Tour Shaken as Four Acts Walk Out in Support of Macklemore

Ed Sheeran’s North and South American tour has been thrown into turmoil after four supporting acts announced they were leaving in solidarity with rapper Macklemore.

Irish artists Aaron Rowe and Beoga, Danish band Lukas Graham and Finneas, Billie Eilish’s brother and collaborator, said they were withdrawing after Macklemore was removed from the tour following pro-Palestinian comments he made during a concert.

Sheeran said Macklemore’s removal was the promoters’ decision and that he had tried to challenge it. He said he wants his concerts to remain a place where people from different backgrounds can come together and chose not to publicly take sides in the Gaza conflict.

The departures leave Sheeran’s remaining tour dates facing changes, with the tour scheduled to resume Saturday in Philadelphia.
