Taylor Swift to Premiere “Patient Zero” Video at 2026 MTV VMAs

Taylor Swift is set to premiere the music video for “Patient Zero” during the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards.
The song, released September 25 as part of the deluxe edition of The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, quickly reached No. 1 on Spotify’s global chart. It generated 13.7 million streams in one day, becoming the most-streamed song by a female artist in a single day this year.
Swift announced the track on September 22, surprising fans who had previously heard her say she did not plan to release additional songs connected to the album.
The new video features Hollywood stars Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell and will debut during the VMAs.
Swift is also expected to receive the ceremony’s first Best Art Direction award, potentially bringing her career total to 31 VMAs, the most in the show’s history.
