David Guetta Named World’s No. 1 DJ for Record Sixth Time

David Guetta has once again been crowned the world’s No. 1 DJ, winning DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll for a record sixth time.
The French superstar received the top honor during a live ceremony at [UNVRS] in Ibiza. This year’s poll attracted verified votes from fans in 234 territories around the world.
The historic victory makes Guetta the most successful artist in the history of the Top 100 DJs poll. It comes after another hugely successful year for the DJ and producer, who earned more than five billion additional streams and became the first artist to score 22 No. 1 hits on the U.S. Dance Airplay chart.
“I’m so happy to become the first artist to win Top 100 DJs six times,” Guetta said. “DJs are now playing stadium shows that were once reserved for the biggest pop and rock acts.”
The ceremony also celebrated several other major names in electronic music. Charlotte de Witte was named the world’s No. 1 Techno DJ, while Indira Paganotto received the inaugural World’s No. 1 Psy DJ award. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike were named the world’s No. 1 DJ Group.
Among the biggest movers in this year’s poll, Anyma climbed to No. 3, while Fred again.. jumped to No. 16. UK house DJ Josh Baker was named the Highest New Entry, landing at No. 40.
The event also continued DJ Mag’s partnership with Bridges for Music, raising £120,000 to support the education of 120 students at a music academy in Langa, South Africa.
