Jack Harlow Admits He Reads Reviews of His Albums

Jack Harlow admits he reads what people say about his music, even though he tries not to let reviews influence him too much.
The 28-year-old rapper recently released Monica and told People that, like anyone else, he sometimes checks how fans and critics are reacting to his work.
“We all want to be loved, so you’re going to go see what people are saying,” Harlow said. However, he added that he prefers to focus on the people close to him and those who helped create the album.
Harlow recently wrapped his Monica tour, which gave him extra confidence in the project after hearing fans sing along to the songs.
“This album was a pivot for me,” he explained. “I think I needed to go do it live and hear the fans sing it back to me.”
The rapper has also credited his family and friends for helping him stay grounded and trust his own musical vision. He says his main goal is for his music to sound authentic and immediately recognizable as his own.
Harlow also believes growing up in Louisville shaped his sound, citing the city’s hip-hop culture and its mix of Southern and other regional influences.
