Paul McCartney Praises Céline Dion’s Triumphant Return to Live Music

Paul McCartney has congratulated Céline Dion on her triumphant return to live music, praising the Canadian superstar’s performances in Paris.
Dion is currently performing a 26-concert residency at the Plenitude Arena in Paris, marking her return to the stage after a lengthy hiatus while dealing with serious health issues. Her shows feature some of her biggest hits in both English and French.
In a Tuesday Instagram post, McCartney celebrated the warm response to Dion’s comeback.
“It’s been so great to see the amazing reaction to Céline’s comeback in Paris,” he wrote. “There’s so much love out there for her.”
The Beatles legend also praised Dion for joining the voice cast of High in the Clouds, an upcoming animated musical comedy based on the novel McCartney co-wrote. McCartney is also serving as a producer on the film.
“I’m so excited that she’s part of our High in the Clouds film,” he said. “I’ve just been listening to some of her parts, and I’m blown away by it. Wow, what a talent. We are very lucky to have her as part of the team.”
Dion has not publicly responded to McCartney’s comments.
High in the Clouds, which also features Himesh Patel, Hannah Waddingham and Lionel Richie, is scheduled for release in France in July 2027.
Meanwhile, Dion’s Paris residency is scheduled to continue through May 2027.
