Bryan Adams Pays Tribute to Canada with New Album

Bryan Adams is preparing a new album inspired by his home country. The Canadian rock star has announced “How’s It Goin’,” which will be released on November 6 and will focus on the people, landscapes and stories that have shaped Canada.
The project began with a song Adams wrote for the documentary Canada’s Wild Eastern Edge. His research for the film inspired him to write more songs about Canada and explore new musical sounds.
“The idea was simply to make a record about Canada,” Adams explained. “After doing so much research, I was inspired to write more songs about Canada. Musically, it also took me somewhere a little different, which made the whole thing exciting.”
The album blends country, folk and rock, with songs exploring Canadian history and the stories of people who have made an impact on the country.
One of the most emotional tracks is “The Ballad of Terry Fox,” a tribute to legendary Canadian athlete and humanitarian Terry Fox. The song will also appear in the upcoming documentary Run Terry Run.
The album features 12 tracks, including “How’s It Goin’,” “Highway 16,” “Diesel and Dirt,” “The Battle of Lundy’s Lane,” “51st State” and “Canada’s Wild Eastern Edge.” The digital edition will also include “Lake Ontario” as a bonus track.
Adams, 66, said the album is a reflection of his home country and the things that make Canada unique, including its sense of humor, resilience, vast landscapes and everyday stories.
“How’s It Goin’” will be released on CD and vinyl, as well as a special hardback book edition featuring the CD, lyrics and photographs connected to the stories behind the songs.
The new album arrives just one year after “Roll with the Punches,” Adams’ latest studio album, which was released in 2025.
