Shivon Zilis Announces Split from Elon Musk and Opens Up About Their Relationship

Elon Musk’s personal life is once again making headlines. This time, the news involves his relationship with Shivon Zilis, a Neuralink executive and the mother of four of his children.

Zilis publicly confirmed the end of her relationship with the Tesla and SpaceX founder in a post on X, describing the breakup as unexpected and emotionally difficult.

“It’s hard to go from being in love to having to let go within a week and without warning, but that’s just how things are,” Zilis wrote.

Despite the breakup, Zilis avoided any confrontational tone and expressed gratitude for the years they shared. She also highlighted what their relationship meant to Musk and said she had always tried to provide him with a sense of stability and peace.

“I feel happy that I was able to show Elon what it feels like to be deeply understood, cared for and loved with peace, stability and tenderness,” she wrote.

Zilis also said that she and their children had provided Musk with a safe space away from the pressures of his public life, adding that she would miss being that source of calm and stability for him.

Who Is Shivon Zilis?

Although she does not have the same level of public exposure as some of Musk’s other partners, Zilis has built a notable career in the artificial intelligence industry and has worked with several companies connected to the billionaire.

The Canadian executive previously worked at Tesla, was involved with projects related to OpenAI and later became an important figure at Neuralink.

Her relationship with Musk reportedly developed from a close friendship and professional collaboration. The couple has four children: twins Strider and Azure, born in 2021, as well as Arcadia and Seldon Lycurgus, born in 2024 and 2025, respectively.

In her statement, Zilis described her children as one of the greatest gifts from that chapter of her life.

“I am immensely grateful for our children; they make every day the best day of my life,” she wrote.

She also expressed her hope of maintaining an amicable relationship with Musk and continuing to co-parent their children.

“I hope and pray that he and I can be great friends and share parenting,” she added.
